Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze transformations in media law, from the point of view of digital journalism. Cyber-journalism can be defined as the set of legal expressions, stemming from the fundamental right of communication, which produce information in the context of technical innovations offered by the Internet. Such developments challenge the traditional definition of media and its constitutional protection and individualize informative practices. This individualization forces the redefinition of the legal guarantees of the professional status of the journalist. Finally, technological changes allow the use of technological innovations that affect the prohibition of censorship and the judicial protection of the rights of public communication.
