Abstract

This paper analyses the history of the academic journal Historia y Política throughout its first fifty issues and inserts it within the evolution of Spanish historiography during the last twenty-five years. The construction of the journal’s relevance is studied both in its content, heavily shaped by ongoing historiographical interests, and in its adaptation to a bibliometric visibility model. In this sense, the journal’s history can be used to reflect upon the current Spanish Modern and Contemporary historiography.
