Ideología, ideas y práctica política durante la emancipación de América: panorama del caso novohispano.
Abstract
This paper deals with some of the main characteristics of American (Latin American) political thought during the emancipation period (1808-1824); the author insists on its ideological and ambi-guous nature. In the second part, he deals with one specific case: the viceroyalty of New Spain. Throughout the work, the author cri-ticizes the «classical interpretations» of the American independence process and the persistence of some of the traits of these interpretations in contemporary Latin American historiography.Downloads
