Abstract

When it was still not known which type of regime the uprising would finally usher in, a set of events occurred in the Andalusian Falange movement that ended up bringing the commanders of the Republican period into conflict with the second-level leaders who, after the conflict had begun, had risen up the Falangist ranks. When the time came to restructure the party, these second-level bosses refused to stand down and give up the power they had achieved. Taking up the differences between Dávila and Miranda as the central thread, the article analyses one of the causes that lay behind the final domestication of the Falange movement.
