Abstract

This article explores the radical falangist discourse about the anticasticista criticism launched on the city of Madrid. The aim is to work out what was the meaning of this polysemous concept —casticismo/anticasticismo— highlighting the different connotation given to it. Next, what is settled down is where the antidote for the casticista deviation according to this discourse was. The thesis which articulates this paper is that beyond the criticism on Madrid lied down a wider one about the wrong that ravaged Spain. In the same sense, the idea is that under the claim of Madrid reflecting the ideal castellanista, is possible to find the falangist discourse about the nation.
