Abstract

The Constitutional Court is the institution charged with the control of the fundamental standard under the terms of the 1993 Constitution. It is articulated in the constitutional State as a subsidiary body that creates law by interpreting the Constitution. It lays down doctrine through rulings of unconstitutionality, binding precedents and constitutional jurisprudence. These can be seen as a secondary source of law, as other constitutional bodies have a duty to respect its rulings, which are binding for other jurisdictional bodies as well.
