Abstract

This essay deals with the impact of Brexit on international trade of works of art. As London is one of the major marketplaces, relevant implications of Brexit will be analysed. The essay is divided into two parts: the first one is about international auction sales (conditions of business about law, jurisdiction and artist´s resale right); the second one deals with restitution of works of art that have been illegally exported from the European Union to the United Kingdom.
