Brexit and Common Law: influence on the EU Private international law

Abstract

The study analyzes the influence of common law in the process of legislative and judicial development of the EU private international law and its diachronic projection regarding the foreseeable consequences of Brexit. Following the hypothetical–deductive method, it examines the issue from the perspective of the conflict of jurisdictions, the conflict of laws and the case–law from the EU Court of Justice.
