Spanish Notarial Authority and Cross–border divorce. Specificities and questions raised by the application of European regulations

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to address the answers of Private International Law to cross–border divorces procedures sought from the Spanish notarial authorities. The specificities and legal questions raised by the application of European regulations concerning international family relationships affecting matters requiring notarial deeds, the approval of which is necessary for formalising the dissolution of marriage, are going to be analysed.
