Abstract
Despite the progress already made, the automotive industry continues to face significant challenges – technical, economic, ethical and legal – in relation to the implementation of automated vehicles. This paper analyzes some of the main legal challenges posed by the application of AI systems to automated driving, as well as possible solutions to them from the perspective of the existing legal framework and private international law.
