Abstract

This work presents the main content included in the Guide for the Evaluation of University Education for Professionals, created in the framework of a project approved by the Unity for Quality of Andalusian Universities (UCUA). After limiting the object of evaluation and evaluation agents, a framework of criteria and key questions which can be taken as a reference for evaluation is proposed. Methodologically, the suggested process of evaluation involves carrying out preparatory tasks (adopting the decision to evaluate, constituting the evaluators’ team, planning work), collecting data (selecting informants, applying and selecting techniques, recording data), analysing data and reaching conclusions. The study concludes with the contribution of guidelines to formulate improvement proposals and to elaborate and spread the evaluation report. The guide is a useful tool for university centres interested in obtaining professionals’ feedback, on which processes to improve university education may be based.
