The vocation of Spanish Academic Sociology. From the time of utopias to that of contrautopia
Keywords:
Sociology of sociology, Spanish sociology, utopia, social change, social valuesAbstract
This text claims that the asynchrony of Spanish academic sociology, which started at the wrong time and was consolidated off-beat, has been very positive in its development. On the one hand, it has had an influence in the social change of our country, comparatively speaking, bigger than those of the surrounding countries. On the other hand, it has been able to keep itself committed with reason, ethics and collective needs in an easier way. It is highlighted that it is important to preserve this legacy.Downloads
