Abstract

In this paper we intend to offer an analysis of certain ideological elements that concurred in the doctrinal conformation of Andalusianism and Canarian nationalism. Being aware of the complex and plural nature of this conformation, we will show however that some romantic ideas and certain ethnic allusions are present in the theoretical corpus of these movements. In the case of Canarian nationalism, Guanchism will become very important and in the case of Andalusianism the mythification of al-Andalus.
