Abstract

The francoist doctrine, once the bill 255 of 19th of April of 1937 that said there is only one new political party was passed, tried hard to provide the setting for this new single Spanish party in the same place as the single totalitarian fascist parties with which it identified itself. In that way, we will describe the way in which the fascist political doctrine, starting from the German and Italian theories, tries to make a new synthesis theory that proclaims the own singularity of the single totalitarian Spanish party. In this sense, we will study thoroughly two different theories: on the one hand, the theory of the party as State-Movement which was developed by Luis del Valle, who tries to adapt the schmittians postulates about the single party into the Spanish political reality, and, on the other hand, the most original theory of the party as a militant ecclesia developed by Luis Legaz Lacambra.
