Abstract

This paper seeks to account for the differential elements of a truly transformative proposal of ecological law. To this end, first, it describes the evolution of anthropocentric law in its three different stages: the conservationist moment, the phase of the fight against pollution and the legislation to counteract climate change. An account is given of the characteristic elements of each stage, their origin, the laws and treaties that serve as examples and the limits and tensions of each of them. Within this framework, the last section proposes certain basic demarcating elements of what should constitute ecological law
