Abstract

The article gives a broad explanation of the Constitutional Court’s doctrine regarding education. It clarifies the powers reserved to the State pursuant to art. 149.1.30 EC and other constitutional precepts. It then describes the powers of the Spanish Regions (Autonomous Communities), finally specifying the Court’s doctrine regarding various aspects of the subject-matter under art. 27 EC.
