Abstract

This paper analyzes the relationship between political parties and independent agencies, the autonomous non-governmental institutions created to exercise certain functions that must be developed not by political parties. This paper exposes the legal framework of the independent agencies that guarantee its «independence», and judges if this aim of independence has been satisfactory achieved and which was the cost of it, especially from the democratic perspective, because independent agencies work apart of the democratic mechanism of responsibility, political control and legitimacy.
