Abstract

The principle of subsidiarity which informs the post-2022 Common Agricultural Policy confers Member States a wide margin of freedom to shape the control mechanisms of the aids that are paid with the European agricultural funds. As a result, nowadays they are essentially regulated by domestic laws. This paper studies those mechanisms systematically, as parts of a whole that share a common goal, which is the protection of the financial interests of the Union, trying to guarantee the internal oherence of their normative group and its congruence with the principles of general administrative law.
