Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the legal situation of the crime of human trafficking within the Justice Administration of the Basque Country since 2010, when this offence was incorporated autonomously to the criminal code. A qualitative methodology is employed to review the annual report of the Basque Country Public Prosecutor’s Office with respect to this offence. It was not possible to analyze judgements because all opened cases were dismissed or transferred to courts in other territories. This work is original because it is the first time that an study like this is carried out in the Basque Country.
