Abstract

Access to justice as a right for children and adolescents, which must be guaranteed on an equal footing, is possible only if it is interpreted from the beginning of the difference. This implies changing the vision of children and adolescents. Placing vulnerability outside rather than in the differentiated intrinsic characteristics of these populations. Faced with this situation, state authorities have reinforced obligations to make access to justice a reality based on the principles of participation and due diligence. Justice adapted to children and adolescents is an alternative that has proved effective in guaranteeing them access to justice. The article addresses the taking of testimony as a sign of the importance of adapting infrastructure, rules and procedure to the specific needs of this group.
