The feminist movement is also exposed to globalization, which has determined mutual influences on the evolution of its political thought and practice. In recent years, there has been in the USA an important action by women of the cinema and communication sphere, denouncing sexual harassment suffered as a necessary means for obtaining work and artistic performances, which would have been carried out by powerful men in the cinema industry. The reflection of this situation has led in Europe to a revitalization of the manifestations of militant feminism, and at the same time to a rejection of some of these manifestations, regarded as exaggerated reactions that may imply a certain weakness of women or inadequate responses.
