Abstract

The social significance of sport in our day, leads to the legislator’s recognition of certain competitions as activities of general interés. This circumstance has led to an increase of information and opinión on its development, with an impact on the credit of the participants in it and a significant number of judicial decisions have been generated that assess the cllision betweenthe rights to honour and the freedoms of expression and information. Its solution presents interpretative, for a proper understanding of the fundamental rights at isuue and is necessary to have a prior exposition of the concept and general requirements of the fundamental rights at issue, after which the collision in the matter pointed out is specifically analyzed, for which the study of the existing doctrine and jurisprudence is essential.
