The Local Action Plans of the Spanish Urban Agenda: their role in the Urban Planning of the 21st century

The Spanish Urban Agenda (AUE) is the National Urban Policy that, from a strategic, aims to guide the adoption of public policies that are applicable in towns and cities according to criteria of sustainability, transversality and improved governance. To achieve this, the AUE plans to draw up Local Action Plans. This article is a first approach to the content of these Plans is made based on the analysis of those that have been identified as a pilot project within the framework of the call for aid for the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, 2021, and their potential to adapt the urbanism of the 21st century to global challenges and its role as a governance instrument.
