Abstract

The city understood as a technical artifact enjoying its own zone of intelligent domination presupposes a knowledge and sense of the history and functions of its technical mainways and ends. The paper, thanks to profound research on the part of its authors that here can only be offered in the form of small abstract, sets off this dense interweave of mainways against the mesh of decisions that administrators will make as to the city throughout its history and in so doing points up the ties as between this weave, that mesh, seeing the formers as now a help, a guide or even as hindrance physical to the lines power would take. The work takes as its reference the city of Madrid from the 15th to the 20th Century.
