Abstract

The author examines per capita disparities, their findings being based upon data thrown up by Regional Accounts drawn from National Institute of Statistics publications. The paper is divided up into two, interconnected parts, the first focussing upon a definition of the indicator adopted and research method used for the study as well as giving an explanation of factors giving rise to such as productivity, unemployment and degree of activity, the second examining the part played in this question by production and job structure, technological input and capital resources for each worker when understanding regional productivity differences . The paper
concludes the regional differences in Productivity are intimately linked to per capita disparity as within the sample studied.
