Abstract

The Laboratorio di Città Corviale is a project, as a channel for dialogue with the administration,
that has accompanied the architectonical project of physical transformation of Corviale (Rome),
since 2018. Corviale is a residential public housing complex built in the 1970s and symbol of the Roman
suburbs, with a problem arising from squatting and illegal construction of housing. It responds to this
social problem by integrating mediation between architecture, arts and education, through social accompaniment,
a museum project on memory, social animation, an art square and didactics. It is presented
the way in which the didactic function of the Laboratory is developed with schoolchildren from
a nearby school is presented during a school walk through the neighborhood.
