Water considered as a restricting factor in the regional community economies of Valencia and Murcia

Abstract

The paper deals with the problems caused by a wafer short fall within territories. To do so. it considers the dependency of the productive sector in Valencia and Murcia upon water resources. going on to pin point in each sector that part of its activity directly affected by water scarcity. Next. the paper gives a territorial lay out of the hydrographie distribution of not only the territories in question but likewise of those neighbouring them, in so doing bringing attention to the high degree of interdependence existing as between the territories thus examined.The paper is rounded off with a projection of the sector needs of the area in terms of water.
