Abstract

The paper states that irrigation is the principal use to which spanish hydraulic resources are put, not only that it is so, given that in any normal year this use accounts for some 80% of the water employed but further that its being so employed is what has recently brought to light the structural defects as to resource use in the southern and mediterranean regions of Spain.
