Abstract

The policies of integrate recovery of historical center, of singular and/or degradate urban areas, have notably developed in Spain the last decade. The law of 1933 provided a biased view of the built patrimony as a cultural good. On the contrary, the recent law of Patrimony of 1985 understands the built environment from an integrate approach (physically, socially, economically and demographic). However, the necesity of integrating into these sectorial urbanistic policies, with other ones of broader multisectorial and structural character, invites to regard this actuation as an element of spatial cualification of a specific urban area. and even they act as a impulse of comarcal and regional development
