SOME NOTES AS TO THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE BARCELONA OLYMPIC GAMES
Abstract
The paper, by the financial and administrative director of the Organizing Committee for the Barcelona Olympics, lays out that complicated economic meshwork necessary for the putting on of an event as special as the Games and goes into the effects of doing so upon the host city. Beginning with an explanation of the setting up of the system of investment support in 1985 through the City Company AOMSA and the business association, Barcelona Olimpica, the paper then goes into a break down of this same body of investment to end up with an analysis of the outcome of this for the City of Barcelona itself.
