Abstract

The task of solving the conflict that arises as between roads and urbanized zones, such as the functional requirement for fluid traffic as against legitimate demands for an optimun standard living space in residential areas, grows particularly difficult in the outskirts. The author here points up the need to re-new the methods employed in the planning and designing of highways and byways in such areas and offers some three methodological approaches to this task.
