Abstract

The centrifugal movement observable on the part of industry out to rural or non-city sites is here seen as expressive of the consolidation of that process of growing production decentralization here felt to be up to altering the entire morphology and function of what were hitherto understood as city outskirts. In so doing this would give rise to new phenomena as within the landscape such as strip developments and industrial-corridors ». The paper takes a close look at what lies behind this last phenomenon especially to the way it has shown itself within the Asturian Region.
