Cuban cities in the 90s: Perspectives

Abstract

The paper points out that 1990 will mark the thirtieth year of planning as a governmental responsibility in Cuba. During this period, City and Regional planning are seen to have given body to the major policies as to the physical and economic devolopment of the nation. The paper draws our attention to the points of view of the Physical Planning Institute as to settlement systems, city planning strategies, city culture, living space design and architecture, the analysing of these headings and the future forseen for them.
