Medium sized towns, informatics and its place in their planning

Abstract

Varios public bodies have come together so as to put into effect an information programme that would cover all such headings as migth be relevant to the planning and administration of spanish cities having a population of between 20,000 and 100,000 people. An analysis of each town's PLAN GENERAL or overall master plan is seen to be the key to its planning and administrative development and it is thus this that is used to link it up with the SISGU as a tutoring instrument that will thus be able to make is basic documentary reserves of information as to handling, adapting and informatics available to all such municipal authorities as might wish to draw upon them. In the same kind of way, the digital cartographic base which is to be included within its system of contrasted relative information will also be open to being incorporated as a part of any urban infrastructures and will thus help ease tasks of administration and management at service levels.
