Abstract

The last gasps of the 'Sixties, marked, among much else, by demands for a humanizing of city life, made way for the City Agreement's taking over from the City to Order, by Regulation. At the same time this demand also took on the equally important ideological yet popular tones of a militant concern for the defense of Ecological principles and values. It is in the light of thee latter that the author, along with Maldonado and Los, put together the so-called Living Space Project as an inter-disciplinary study tending towards the understanding of a Human World. The paper finishes by suggesting that any urbanistic event must needs be conceived it three stages: a) a plan, b) a working project and c) its putting into effect.
