Abstract

Land price evolution is studied in terms of radial axis in Madrid during the period 1940-1980. There are three different time stages: 1939-1953, 1958-1976 and from 1976 to the present day. These stages are related to variations in town policy as to land and real estate taxes and rents.
The usage given to an area is believed to have great relevance on urban prices for the same area.
