External morphology of the nuclei of the Plain of Castellón

Abstract

The paper analizes the urban morphology of an extraordinarily lively demographic zone: The Plain of Castellón. That constant urban spread here measured by an application of form index allows for the drawing of some general conclusions as to the bettering of the present ordering of this vitalistic urban space. Given the above characteristics, attention is drawn to the important role of function in the morphology of the zones distinct local nuclei, especially those that stand on the huge alluvial flats of the Huerta of the Mijares
