Abstract

This essay collects further research, which pretends to detail a certain kind of Real Estate in the northwest periphery of Madrid: the illegal housing. It first studies the generating mechanisms for the appearance of infrahousing and focuses later on identifying a whole set of phenomena. which are involved in plots division, promotion and development procedures. Promotors and their activities are characterized and the evolution of the different districts, especially the occupation rythmns the infraestructure and athe facilities acquisition, as well as the present state of affairs as to renewal and planning approach are analized.
