Abstract

Abstract. The article describes the planning information system within the Canary Islands Overall
Territorial Planning System (SITCAN). It considers work done on Normalizing and Systemizing
Planning, Production, Quality Control, and Up-Dating the Planning Data Base, the ways that its use
can be optimized and the making best available of the results obtained from it. A description is
offered of work done using the same over recent years as to territorial planning and from this how
the future for this can be projected.
