Influencia del entorno construido en la percepción de inseguridad y en la preferencia por caminar desde una perspectiva de género

Este estudio se enfoca en las diferencias de género en inseguridad percibida caminando en un entorno urbanos aparentemente seguro y caminable, como es la ciudad de Granada. Se examinan los elementos del entorno construido y los factores sociales que disuaden de caminar. Los datos provienen de cuestionarios a estudiantado universitario en 2020 y 2022. Se utilizó metodología cuantitativa con Análisis No Lineal de Componentes Principales (ANLCP), Análisis Factorial Exploratorio (AFE) y Test U de Mann Whitney. Los resultados muestran la relevancia de los factores ambientales y sociales en la percepción de la inseguridad para ambos géneros, aunque las mujeres perciben un mayor nivel de inseguridad y adoptan tácticas de evitación y confrontación, incluso dejando de caminar en situaciones de riesgo percibido. La inseguridad percibida, aun en ciudades con bajas tasas de criminalidad, es un factor que debe considerarse en las políticas urbanas.
