Un marco teórico de la integración y el bienestar de los menores migrantes y refugiados en Europa

Resumen

La infancia migrante y refugiada se enfrenta a desafíos específicos que afectan intensamente a su bienestar durante su integración en las sociedades europeas. Las instituciones y entidades en terreno dedicadas a la infancia y las migraciones señalan la necesidad de matizar mejor los factores intervinientes en la promoción del bienestar de los niños migrantes y refugiados.

Tras realizar una revisión narrativa crítica de los modelos actuales de bienestar e integración infantojuvenil, se brinda un marco analítico que vincula las contribuciones conceptuales de ambas literaturas. Además, se discute a fondo un marco teórico centrado en el niño que comprende la teoría ecológica, la nueva sociología de la infancia y la interculturalidad, así como sus vertientes aplicadas en la investigación especializada en esta población. Estos resultados serán útiles para formular políticas y desarrollar intervenciones psicosociales basadas en evidencia enfocadas en la población infantojuvenil de origen migrante y refugiada en Europa.

Mercedes Fernández García, Universidad Pontificia Comillas

Mercedes Fernández (Madrid, 1966) es abogada (ICADE E1) desde 1989. Ha sido profesora del Departamento de Organización Industrial de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería, ICAI. Ha impartido clases de teoría económica, contabilidad financiera, contabilidad analítica, análisis financiero y análisis de costos y finanzas. Su tesis doctoral es un modelo multivariable sobre el comportamiento empresarial de las fundaciones españolas. Este tema de investigación la ha llevado a colaborar desde el año 2000 con el Instituto de Investigación de Estudios Migratorios, centro que ha dirigido entre 2012 y 2018. Sus principales temas de investigación en esta área son las migraciones, el racismo y la xenofobia, el mercado laboral de los inmigrantes y las migraciones y el desarrollo. (migración calificada, remesas, actividad empresarial y retorno productivo). Actualmente continúa su labor investigadora en el Instituto Universitario de Estudios sobre Migraciones donde coordina los proyectos financiados por la Comisión Europea IMMERSE y LET'S CARE
