Abstract

The aim of this text is to analyse the emergence of the discourse on the reproduction of the new Spanish neoliberal radical right that the Vox party represents in the public sphere. Its ideological profile will be characterized and the interconnection between its neoliberal and traditional-conservative elements will be examined. We will analyse his political proposals around biological reproduction and social reproduction, as privileged places to explore the stable combination between his neoliberal and conservative-traditional elements. Methodologically, a qualitative analysis of Vox programmatic texts will be carried out, as well as projects and parliamentary interventions of its political group. The results of the research are mainly two: a) to show how Vox has turned the area of reproduction into a field of political conflict, with the aim of defending anti-egalitarian and anti-democratic policies, which reinforce the individualistic and traditionalist social order; b) to analyse the combination of neoliberal and traditional-conservative elements to deactivate egalitarian feminist policies and democratic deconstruction of the sex-gender order. Its restrictive conception of political power, the invisibility of social inequalities and his defence of traditional values show a stable combination of elements that deactivate any attempt at egalitarian and emancipatory transformation of the oppressions and gender inequalities.
