Abstract

Domination has been a subject of extensive attention in political thought and social critique. However, the ecological emergency demands that we move beyond traditional conceptions that focus solely on human harm and oppressions. Instead, we need to construct a holistic approach that captures the complex, multidimensional, and multifaceted dynamics unfolding when addressing environmental issues. This extends not only to human relationships but also to interactions with non-human entities and components of nature. This work aims to contribute to the systemic construction of green domination. To achieve this, it explores the perspectives of critical theory, republicanism, environmental justice, and ecofeminism. In alignment with the goal of encompassing the broadest possible dimensions, the scope is expanded to move beyond blind readings of other knowledge productions. Non-hegemonic republicanism, peripheral critical thinking, ontological turn, and eco-territorial feminisms from the Global South are incorporated. This contribution aids in
crafting a map of domination that now takes on a green hue, undoubtedly facilitating the contemplation of new paradigms and the development of creative strategies for emancipation.
