Abstract

The process of Care in a Primary Health Care Center is analized by indicators of use and demand obtained from the Center registers. To know the kind and distribution of demand, it was used a protocol of activities in the consulting area dureing a week, each season of the year. The results show the stability of demand (number of patients/doctor/day) during the three years surveyed with constant seasonal variations: Reduction in summer time and increase during the months of autum and winter. The distribution per pathologies, in accordance with other surveys, shows e clear prevalence of respiratory diseases. The indicators of use show a tendency to the increase of use extension whereas use intensity and repeated use intensity decrease.
