Abstract

Having in mind the system of control of the Spanish Intelligence Service, the essay tries to identify the features of a control which matches with the peculiarities of the Intelligence function, and with the requisites of a democratic society as well. To attain this objective, the essay looks critically the Spanish experience, and make some basic references to the latest reforms in the regulation of the Intelligence’s control in countries like France, Portugal, United Kingdom, Italy and Germany. We consider also how the control should be in view of prestigious Reports and Reccomendations disseminated in recent years.
