Abstract

The aim of the text is to analyse the 2006 Report of the Council of State on amendments to the Spanish Constitution undertaken at the request of the Government. It discusses the four sections of the Report, focusing on their most problematic aspects relating to the elimination of the male preference in the succession to the throne, the reception in the Constitution of the process of European integration, the inclusion of the name of autonomous regions and the reform of the Senate.
