Abstract

Institutionalized political dialogue between the European Union and Latin America and Caribbean reached its peak in bi-regional summits. Since I (Rio de Janeiro, 1999) to V Summit (Lima, 2008) Euro relations have been consolidated and adapted to new international reality, reflecting a high harmony in the political arena (common bet for multilateralism), but marked differences in the economic field, especially in the commercial. This, focused to achieve a bi-regional strategic association with short-term and the VI Summit held in Spain during the presidency of European Union (first semester of 2010).
