Abstract

The components of the European cohesion paradigm have been tested over many years in terms of their practical application, mainly through the EU Structural Funds. The results are considered to be most successful and have helped improve stability within the EU. The scientific character of the analysis and evaluations which constitute stability, combined with the objective of vertically influencing the necessary structural reform that could transform underdeveloped economies into competitive ones, makes us believe that it is possible to transfer this model to other fields such as underprivileged regions in Latin America and development cooperation.
