CORRELATIONAL STUDY OF VIOLENT BEHAVIORS AT SCHOOL ACCORDING TO RESILIENCE LEVELS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.
Abstract
Introduction: Aggressive behaviors have increased in a worrying way all over the world, and this has been another reason to investigate what happens in schools. Its presence has been increasing in the last decades and, therefore, this topic has been approached from different points of view in society. Objetives: The aim of this study was to analyze and establish the rates of aggressive behaviors and their possible relationship with gender, resilience and Physical Activity (PA) in schoolchildren aged 10-12 years. Methods: Its design is descriptive and cross-sectional, the sample is 320 students, an ad-hoc questionnaire was used to establish sociodemographic variables, violent behaviors (measured with the violent behaviors scale), gender, resilience (measured with the CD-RISK) and PA. Results: The results showed that schoolchildren with higher levels of violent behaviors were in the reactive and overt relational dimension, males were more assiduous in PA practice than females, and females were characterized by greater overt and relational aggressiveness. However, they present higher mean values in violent behaviors than if academic performance is taken into account. Conclusions: The main recommendation is the need to study, in greater depth, the active sports population to try to know the cause of these results.
