Professor of History of Social Movements at the Universidade da Coruña. He was visiting professor at the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris. He received the H.J. Dyos Prize in Urban History. His research focuses on the field of urban history. He is currently coordinating the project "Violencia colectiva y protesta popular en las ciudades españolas: la Guerra de la Independencia" (funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities) whose first results are collected in the collective book, of which he is coordinator, Revuelta popular y violencia colectiva en la Guerra de La Independencia (Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales, 2024).
Historia Social is a four-monthly journal of history specializing in the modern and contemporary eras. The Fundación Instituto de Historia Social promotes it with Editorial Comares' collaboration.
